Ian Wynne BMus(Hons), MMusRNCM, MISM

Tutor in Piano & Music Theory

British pianist Ian Wynne has taught piano for ten years; his pupils have achieved great success in their exams whilst developing a deep understanding of music and performance.

Ian completed his studies in classical music performance at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2014, studying with Richard Ormrod.  He then went on to study jazz in Paris and worked there as a professional musician and piano teacher.

Ian tailors his lessons according to each student, either helping them to prepare for concerts, graded exams, GCSE and A-Level Music, or by helping them to reach personal goals in their playing without the pressure of exams.

Ian began working with Richard from March 2019 and brings both an energetic and inspiring teaching style to his lessons, alongside his wealth of experience as a classical and jazz pianist.
